Line type
The category of a phone line — mobile, landline, VoIP, or toll-free — which determines how you can contact it and how risky it is.
Line type tells you whether a number can receive SMS (mobile), is voice-only (landline), is internet-based (VoIP, higher fraud risk), or is a business number (toll-free). It drives routing decisions and feeds risk scoring.
Because numbers can be ported to different services, line type should be resolved against current network data rather than the number's original allocation.
